Heraclea, Thrace (Marmara Ereglisi, Turkey)
Heraclea, the Greek city of Perinthos, later known as Heraclea Thraciae to distinguish it from Heraclea Pontica, is now Marmara Ereglisi in the European part of Turkey. The Roman mint was established by Diocletian shortly before his reform and was in use until the times of Theodosius II. Dates of operation: 291 - 450 A.D.
